Do you need that special gift for a fellow genealogist? Or is your family looking for ideas of what to get you?
Today we look at a collection of works by author Timothy J. Kent. His books cover life as a voyageur, the social history of forts located in the Pays d’en Haut, as well as the history of that area. He tells amazing stories of his entire family’s re-enactment of the life of a fur trader and his Native family. Many of these books you’ll find fascinating whether or not there’s a voyageur in your line.
Then, in the past year, all of you have either experienced or witnessed Mother Nature at her worst. When a Maple Stars and Stripes listener mentioned that everything was on hold because he was picking up his Napa Valley in-laws who were escaping the fires, I thought we could all use another reminder of the importance of backing up our life’s work. In this episode, we discuss a couple of ways to do that.
