Many genealogists claim to have gotten the ‘genealogy bug’ from a classroom assignment when they were youngsters. Well, today’s guest is helping to create interest in the next generation of budding genealogists by helping her students learn about and appreciate their Franco heritage.

In episode #22, Dissecting French-Canadian Marriage Records, we came across a couple of instances when ordinal numbers were used: to give the date of the reading of the banns and to describe the degree of affinity or consanguinity.  In today’s Language Tip #23, we’ll explore ordinal numbers in more detail.
